However, to their surprise, becoming a NEET brought them immense happiness. They became a NEET, spending hours upon hours in front of their computer, trying to escape the reality of their situation. With no money and no job, Yo found solace in the virtual world of MMORPGs. They had traded one monotony for another, and they were no closer to finding happiness. They began to question their decision to leave life as a guardian behind. Yo was always thinking about money and perpetual poverty, frequently bringing them to tears. They were unable to stop, unable to quit, and soon they had lost all of their savings and were deeply in debt.ĭepressed, Yo festered in their apartment, biding their time with cheap pranks, gambling, liquor, and cigarettes. Unfortunately, Yo's gambling quickly spiraled out of control, and they found themselves losing more and more money with each game. Yo was convinced that they were a skilled player and could win big - but they were bad at Mahjong. They loved the excitement and thrill of the game, and they soon found themselves spending all their time playing and betting large sums of money. So, they made a bold decision: to become a Mahjong player. They could no longer live a life that was unsatisfying and unfulfilling. They had been so focused on their duties that they had forgotten to live. They had never experienced the thrill of adventure or the joy of discovery. Despite their success as a guardian, they felt as if they were missing out on something more. Yo had been performing the same duties for centuries and felt like their life lacked excitement. However, as the years passed, Yo began to feel unfulfilled. Yo spent their days barking at the shrine's entrance, keeping watch for any potential threats. For centuries, Yo had fulfilled their duties with unwavering dedication, never once questioning their purpose or the monotony of their existence. There are at least some cool new designs for the SF4 cast that could be much better served in Street Fighter 6 someday because there's not much else tying this mobile gacha game to the series.Yo was a guardian lion dog, tasked with protecting the grand shrine. If you compare this to another Capcom-licensed mobile game like Teppen, you can see the clear difference in approach to how they handle the characters and properties while trying to put them in new and fun situations we don't get to see otherwise. SF: Duel's minimal dialogue doesn't offer any deeper insights into the world warriors or the strange world they inhabit, so there's ultimately not much here for fans to latch onto aside from watching their favorite fighters use the same Street Fighter 4 moves a whole bunch. They seem to have mixed up the 2 names.Īnd that's not the only character this applies to either with some apparently using attacks from different characters entirely. There's also some pretty laughable goofs like Cammy's Super being called Spiral Arrow despite clearly being a Cannon Strike and using the correct voice line. This normally would be a pretty minor nitpick, but these smaller mistakes seem to be emblematic of a wider lack of understanding of Street Fighter and its characters. We don't believe that Shadaloo ever created a full on shadow continent, and it's probably not Gill's secret utopia either. Ok man the steet fighter duel devs really have no idea what franchise they're working on /269hmSk22a- □ イーサン □ Comms Open! March 3, 2023 If you look at the wider world map featured in the game's Explore menu, it also appears they added a bunch of extra land / countries randomly throughout the Atlantic Ocean too for some reason. Since Duel was initially made for the Chinese market, we were curious if this was just a mere translation issue that was supposed to mean the Middle East, but that doesn't appear to be the case. As pointed out by Kujikawaii, the map of the world in the mobile game includes a nebulous continent called Middle Earth that looks like they combined Australia and the Middle East or something.
